We are in love with Katrien Depoorter's Carpino knitted in Titus Brass Band.
Katrien said "I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day!" and we feel the same way!
As long as there have been coal mines in Yorkshire, there have also been brass bands. They were considered to keep workers out of trouble and a matter of civic pride for local communities. The tradition still continues with Yorkshire bands such as Black Dyke, Frickley and Rastrick all still going strong. This vibrant, mustardy shade of yellow is inspired by brass instruments such as the cornet, trombone and euphonium in these bands.
Designed by Carol Feller, Carpino is a distinctive casual knitted sweatshirt with a honeycomb lace panel at the front and delicate shoulder shaping. This sweater is knit from the top down in the round, with minimal shaping at the neck and waist. It can be worn as a casual top with jeans or even as a warm layer over a more formal outfit.
To fit 32 (34.5, 38, 41, 43.5, 47, 49.5, 52.75)” finished circumference at bust. Designed to be worn with 1-2½" positive ease.
The sweater requires 3 (3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) hanks of Titus, and if you use the code BRASSBAND until midnight on Sunday 5th May on orders of Titus Brass Band you'll get 10% off when buying a minimum of 3 hanks.
