The Rose Window of York Minster is an iconic symbol of Yorkshire. It has been a feature of this famous building for many centuries and has great historic significance. Wheel and Rose windows are symbolic of the medieval period and the view of time and the universe as God-given. At York Minster, the Rose Window (pictured below) combines red and white roses to reflect the union of the Houses of York and Lancaster in the 16th century following the War of the Roses.
We took inspiration from this beautiful sight for our new shade, Rose Window. It's a rich raspberry pink, soft and gentle yet striking and perfect for a sunny day. In Titus, Rose Window is a vibrant pink shade, while Dovestone dk is a slightly softer tone thanks to the Masham in its blend.
