Abbess Hild was a 7th century Celtic saint who founded a mixed abbey at Whitby, North Yorkshire. In this hoodie Ann's worked to evoke the celtic monastic tradition of which Hild was a part, especially the beautiful knotwork with which they adorned manuscripts and crosses.
Hild includes sizes to fit 32 to 58" chest.
You will need:
Jarol British Wool Aran (100% British Masham wool) - 6 balls for sizes 32" to 36"; 7 balls for sizes 38" to 42"; 8 balls for sizes 44" to 50"; 9 balls for sizes 52" to 56" and 10 balls for size 58".
You will also need two 5mm circular needles, a cable needle and a spare DPN and if you wish, additional DPNs for your preferred method of knitting small circumferences in the round.
Tension: 18 sts and 24 rows rounds to 10cm/4" in stocking stitch.
