Here is a great answer to the problem of unpredictable weather. The Windbreaker light by Lone Kjeldsen is a meeting of sweater and poncho. With its a-line body, 3/4 length sleeves and deep raglan, it is a comfortable piece to throw on whatever the weather.

Its all-over star-stitch gives it a close texture perfect for those windy days. It may not be tight enough to stop the wind but it will certainly keep you warm when it's blowing a gale.
