As baa ram ewe begins a new chapter, we're excited to feature a whole new selection of local artists and makers who celebrate Yorkshire as much as we do! Our first feature is Rhubarb & Custard, founded by our very own Verity! Using her Yorkshire photography, Verity makes local digital art from the Rhubarb Triangle and Lower Aire Valley. Printed onto canvas, each Yorkshire landscape comes with a free hanging kit with every canvas you purchase. The wooden frames are sourced from European suppliers and made from renewable materials. We've selected three of our favourite prints which each has its own story...
Fallen Tree: "There’s something very poetic about a fallen tree. The power it took to bring it down. Its position, defeated, on the ground. The death of something that is bigger and stronger that we could ever be. I find beauty in all of that. This tree fell in to the lake at Swillington farm in recent storms. A flurry of snow accentuated its fall and somehow added to its majesty."
Note: This print will be dispatched directly from Rhubarb and Custard's printer.
