Tin Can Knits - Vivid

vivid: rainbow lace blanket by Emily Wessel

The pattern can be knit in any weight of yarn, and you may make more or less squares for a smaller or larger finished blanket. Squares will measure approximately 7.5 (9, 10.5) inches square for 4ply (DK, aran) weight yarns.

The baby-blanket sized sample is made in 4ply weight yarn and is 30 x 37.5 inches (20 squares).

Yarn: 4-ply: 70 yds per square; DK weight: 100 yds per square; worsted / aran: 130 yds per square.

Our own Titus makes a gorgeous Vivid blanket - mix and match colours as you wish. Each square takes 15g of Titus, so you can make two squares from three 10g mini skeins, or 6 squares from one hank with a little bit leftover. Use three skeins in the same colour to make a blanket of 20 squares (30 x 37.5 inches), or 1 skein each of 4 colours to make 24 squares. Or go truly multicoloured with three Titus mini skein packs, enough to make 20+ squares.

Needles: 3.75mm / 4.5mm / 5.5mm double pointed needles
