We would love to tell you that all our books and pattern leaflets were completely free from errors. Unfortunately, though we try our best, sometimes errors creep in. We hope that you will accept our apologies, and find the answer to your queries here:
Thumb set up, Rnd 3 should read "[K10 (12, 14), p1] twice, sm, p1, sm, p1, k24 (28, 32), p1." (This applies to both mitts)
Left mitt, Thumb set up, Rnd 9 should read "As for rnd 8. Work these last 3 rnds seven more times. Work rnds 7 and 8 once more. 69 (77, 85) sts."
Base, after rnd 52, the following lines should be inserted:
"Continue in MC only.
Rnds 53-57: Knit 5 rnds."
Comb, additional information to clarify the cast on:
"With CC2 and 2.5mm (US 1.5) dpns cast on 12 sts. Divide sts alternately over 2 dpns as foll: slip the first st to DPN 1, slip the second st to DPN 2, slip the third st to DPN 1, slip the fourth st to DPN 2 and so on. This forms a closed cast on."
Rnd 13 should read: "1ch, 1dc in each of next 48 sts (6 fans capped in dc), dc in next st, miss next 3 sts, 3tr, dtr3tog, 3tr in next st, (top of bobble below) miss next 3 sts; rep from * to end, join with sl st in top of rst dc, turn.
