Marie Wallin - Finch pattern

Finch by Marie Wallin, a beautiful fair isle sweater knit flat in pieces using baa ram ewe Titus.

Marie says:

"‘FINCH' is one of two designs I have created using Baa Ram Ewe’s Titus yarn and is one of my first designs not using Rowan yarn! It has been such a pleasure designing with this lovely 4ply yarn as it is beautifully soft and a dream to knit with. This design is knitted flat and in pieces so you will need to knit fairisle on the wrong side. It is an oversized shape and therefore very comfortable to wear, styled simply with a pair of jeans or other trousers. My model Georgia loved this sweater so much that she asked to keep the photography garment as part of her modelling fee!

I normally prefer to work with more melange or tweedy yarn colours but it was a good experience designing using the solid colours available in Titus. These colours are lovely and clear and perfect for this all over fairisle design and the second of my designs ‘WREN'. As I am now mostly known for my fairisle designs, then I wanted to design two new fairisles to show the beauty of this yarn. I hope you agree and that you enjoy knitting this design."
