Jamiesons Shetland Heather

100% Pure Shetland British Wool

This is a thicker Shetland yarn, with wonderfully deep heathered colours made by blending dyed wool before spinning.

The yarn is processed, dyed and spun on Shetland.

One of the most well known British sheep breeds, the Shetland sheep originates, unsurprisingly, from the Shetland Isles of Scotland.

They are one of the smallest British breeds, with fine wool famously used for Shetland shawls and Fair Isle sweaters.

In comparison to many breeds of sheep that have been bred only for white fleece, the Shetland comes in 11 recognised main colours and has over 30 different coat patterns.
