Mug cosies are quick to knit and very easy – perfect for practising your stitches. Choose from five different stitch patterns: garter stitch, stocking stitch, moss stitch, ribbed or welted.

Tea cosy: 155m/170yds (1x hank)

Mug cosies: 35m/38yds (per cosy)

1 pair of 4.5mm (US 7) knitting needles

1 pair of 5mm (US 8) knitting needles

A pom pom maker

Small buttons (15mm/ 1/2”)

A darning needle

To fit:

Tea cosy: one size fits a medium sized teapot

Mug cosies: all the mug cosies are rectangles, approx. 7 to 8cm (23/4 to 3”) on the short edge. They are made to fit a mug of 25.5cm (10”) circumference; the length depends on the stitch pattern.
